Brian Parriott & San Jose BMW WON DAYTONA & took 2nd Place in the 2004 Boxer Cup Series

3/3/07 SuperBike Race, Daytona: We won this SuperBike race at Daytona, in the rain. When Brian came back to the pits after the checkered flag, there were no officials from ASRA to direct him one way or another. So Brian headed for Victory Lane where reporters were already waiting to interview him. While the top 3 finishers were congratulating each other - an official from ASRA came over to Brian and told him he was DISQUALIFIED because he didn't ride over to the scales to get the bike weighed. Brian pointed out that they had weighed the bike after the last race and it was 428 pounds. The official stated that they had to make sure the bike met the minimum weight for the class of 350 pounds. Brian asked how the bike could have lost 78 pounds during the race... The official didn't respond and walked away. After the award ceremony, the 2nd place rider (that was awarded 1st) came over to our pits and gave Brian the trophy.
